Whom are the police trying to con?

Malaysiakini reports the OCPD os Dang Wangi as claiming that thr police had a "sucess" in managing the PAS demonstration yesterday against the fuel hike.

He is qquoted as having said ""We managed to keep the protestors at bay and we also managed to stop them from marching towards KLCC,"

On the other hand, the alternative media portal also reported that PAS leader Dr Dzulkifli Ahmad appeared elated and said the march was a success although the police had blocked their route to the KLCC.

"We were still able to express our dissatisfaction," he told Malaysiakini.

WHO ARE WE THE RAKYAT TO BELIEVE?

The police have undeniably a huge credibility problem. Qute obviously the dumb cop from Dang Wangi was putting a spin on the afternoon's events. A demonstration of quite inconsiderable proportions did take place. The message they had has got through. As the Kedah Malay is wont to say "POLIS HAPRAK"!
