Utusan Melayu today (03.06.08) reports that Foreign Minister Dr. Rais Yatim has offered himaseld as a contender for one of the three OMNO Vice-Prsidents posts in the party's elections in December this year.
This brings to seven the number of contenders so fsr.
The other contenders are Malacca CM, Mohd Ali Rudtam; outgoing Pemuda Chief and Education Minister, Hishamuddin Hussein Onn; Supreme Coucil member,Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamiidi; Menteri Besar Pahang, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob;ex MB Perlis Shahidan Kassim; MB Pahang Adnan Yaacob and ex Malacca CM Rahim Thamby Chik.
Former Selangor CM Khir Mohd. Toyo is also expected to throw in his lot soon.
